Kampala, Commonwealth Speke Resort & Conference Center (Munyonyo).

From 16 – 18 JULY, The African Center for Global Health and Social Transformation (ACHEST) on behalf of The African Platform on Human Resources for Health, (the African Platform) and the African Health Systems Governance Network (Ashgovnet) will convene Intergovernmental agencies, CSOs, Academia, International partners from the UN, governments and the private sector in Kampala, Uganda in a Special Consultation on Governance for Health and Health Workers issues and how they can promote SDGs and UHC. The 6th Forum of The African Platform on Human Resources For Health and the 4th Ashgovnet Congress will also celebrate the milestone of ACHEST’s Tenth Anniversary as an independent Think Tank in the region with a focus on “Building Capacities and Synergies for African Health.”

Africa of today, more than ever before, stands an exceptional opportunity to deliver basic health services to her people. This can only happen if African people themselves grasp the window of opportunity that presents itself to us now.
Come join other African health leaders and our international friends to propose answers to the questions of governance and health workers. This self-examination and soul search is urgently needed because the rest of the world is running faster than Africa and time is slipping away for implementing actions towards achieving SDGs.
